An online habit tracker for the actions you repeat.
A habit tracker is a record of recurring actions. It helps you see what you did and how often, so you can adjust your routine using your own history.
Choose a completion rule you can recognize
“Read more” is hard to log consistently. “Read 10 pages” has a clear unit. “Journal” can be a simple check-off if your goal is to open the notebook and write. In Daylo, create a numeric habit for a measurable quantity or a check-off habit for an action.
Use categories to group related actions. Health, learning, and personal growth are starting points, and custom categories let you use labels that make sense to you.
A worked example: a small evening routine
| Habit | Entry | Completion rule |
|---|---|---|
| Reading | Pages read | At least your chosen target |
| Journal | Check-off | Done today |
| Screen time | Minutes | At most your chosen target |
Log each action once it happens. The daily ring reflects completion of your configured goals. Measurements and outcomes are different: doing a habit is something you record; a desired outcome may take time and depend on other factors.
Review the habit, not just the streak
Use the calendar to find gaps, then review weekly or monthly completion. If a habit is repeatedly missed, make it smaller or move it to a time that fits. Your longest streak shows a past run; the completion rate shows a broader view of the period.
Daylo also exports your recorded values to Excel. This makes it possible to inspect the original entries when a summary raises a question.
